They have ways of getting their website to come up on the first page of google searches, so every time someone googles that company, the ripoff report will come up. It won't change your situation, but it might help someone else avoid a similar one.

You will be running into a lot of bills that you do not want to pay out of your mom's savings. What you really need to do is discuss her finances with a professional. Do NOT PAY the security company. Screw them. Her credit does not matter. Pay what bills are needed.

Doesn't Maryland have a Bureau of Consumer Affairs or something akin to that? Or the Attorney General -someone, anyone -who would oversee fraudulent practices being put upon people? If you can find an office that would handle issues like this, I'd be taking my complaint there-and gathering up as many others as I could who have had similar problems too with this company. Something definitely is rotten in Denmark -as that old saying goes -and something certainly needs to/should be done to stop this kind of stuff!

I have Slomins. You can negotiate a contract for one or two years instead of five. Yes, you pay more, but then you don't breach if your circumstances change.

Sorry that they were unsympathetic to your mom's situation. But they are a "big business" and they only see money and not people.

They tried to hold us to that 5 year contract when we were moving out of state by slapping us with a bill close to 900.00 all because the buyers of our house did not want to use their services....In the case of your mother the fact that they took this to court, they are heartless bast@rds!!!
